In 2018 I was approached by Google to be involved with their Little by Little Campaign with the United Nations, as an ambassador in digital. I was asked to choose one of the topics, and was advised to look into Gender Inequality. I wanted to touch base more so about how I could apply something I do in my career as a product developer, and the impact that cosmetics and their packaging have on the environment.

Here’s an image I created inspired by the concept of pollution.

I am particularly focused on bringing attention to how microparticles can end up in the ocean, because the plastic part we can see. The microparticle stuff is a bit lost in the radar, even down to silicones used in cosmetic products. These all go into animals, be it larger creatures like birds and fish, or the smallest life forms who rely on microparticles to live.

Check out the some further information in my charity work and the Little by Little campaign.
